Purpose of the role:

Promote products and capabilities, with the aim of wining new business. Develop existing accounts and win new business.

A global 1st tier supplier to the Automotive sector with manufacturing and development centres across the world.

Job description:

  • Develop and maintain contacts and relationships with potential and existing customers
  • Obtains and processes RFQ requirements
  • Receives and verifies customer purchase orders
  • Routine commercial and technical Interaction with automotive manufacturers, including international and service entities.
  • Obtains and processes RFQ requirements

  • Routine commercial and technical Interaction with automotive manufacturers, including international and service entities.

The successful applicant for the Sales Account Manager post:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree (Engineering), Mechanical Preferred
  • Previous experience in negotiating with purchasing and/or engineering departments is preferred.
  • Project management experience is desired.
  • Experience in dealing with automotive OEMs including but not limited to GM, Ford, Chrysler, Toyota and others, and a good understanding of their related processes / systems (SSTS, SDS, SOR, SOW etc), including their APQP process is desired.
  • Knowledge/Understanding / Experience with vehicle systems and/or vehicle sub systems (steering, driveline or vehicle dynamics preferred).
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented / multi-cultural environment utilizing effective interpersonal skills.
  • Superior analytical, problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills, written and verbal.
  • High degree of initiative, with ability to make decisions.
  • Ability to prioritize and deal with multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of personal computers and related software, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
