Purpose of the role:

  • Coordinate and manage existing customer programs
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with Ford, GM, Chrysler or Toyota

A Multibillion corporation, with a 12 year trading history, with a client portfolio encompassing Automotive OEM and tier 1 / 2 customers.


Purpose and Summary of position:

  • Take point on managing customer expectations
  • Develop sales contacts and nurture relationships with either Ford, GM, Chrysler or Toyota
  • Visit Engineering and purchasing teams at target customers
  • Receive and process RFQ’s
  • Make sure all customer timelines are met
  • Communicate between product development and customer
  • Negotiate on pricing
  • Help with technical input for problem solving
  • Win new business
  • Support existing business



Commodity Experience required:

Any of these

  • Steering, Driveline, Vehicle dynamics, Bearings



Customer experience required

Any of the following

Ford, GM, Chrysler or Toyota


Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:  

  • Experience of calling on Ford, GM, Chrysler or Toyota
  • Experience of vehicle systems  or subsystems such as Steering, Driveline, Vehicle dynamics or bearings
  • Experience of winning new business with Automotive OEMs

Required Years Experience:

5  years sales / account management in Automotive sector

Required Education:

4-year degree in technical discipline (e.g.mechanical engineering, Electrical engineering)
